Faizal’s interest in drumming and rhythm started at a young age, hitting on any surfaces he can find around him. Drumming started as a random interest but it began to develop after he joined his secondary school’s dikir barat group and learn the basics of hand drumming. And after he entered Republic polytechnic's percussion ensemble, Beats Encore after graduation, he soon developed his love for drumming and experimented on the djembe.
He was invited by the founders of Rhythm de Pasion to be part of the band and as there was no caixa player, this open up the opportunity for him to pick up his pair of drumsticks. And after he joined Bloco Singapura, he further understands that Brazilian music does not only revolve around Samba. This challenges him to study further, not only on this culture, but to explore all the different genres and sounds around the world. He wants to ensure that the sound of the band will be heard across the world and spread the Rhythmic syndrome.
