WAN

Wan got his first real taste in music only after he joined his school’s symphonic band in 2004 and his leadership skills earned himself the post of a leader in his percussion section. Starting out playing classical music, he challenged himself to venture out to playing funk, rock and many other genres. Being an avid rock and roll follower since young, he was truly inspired and amazed with Guns and Roses stage performances that he believes he too can do it.

After he joined Beats Encore, Republic Polytechnic’s percussion ensemble in 2008, it was then that he found out the existence of Rhythm de Pasion and he was taken aback when he heard the music and saw the energy given out by the band and believed that he must be part of the band. Brazilian music was totally new to him but his hype, energy and willingness to learn allowed him to get the “swing” of it.

His musical background came in as an asset that he wished that his experiences and knowledge would help the band stand out and though being the youngest, it never   hinder his capabilities.
